The Trust Bank Limited, incorporated on July 3, 1997, is a Gambian commercial bank engaged also in corporate and international banking. The bank began operations on October 1, 1997 after it took over the business of Meridien Biao Bank Gambia. The major shareholders of the bank are Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation and DataBank of Ghana. During the past 10 years, Trust Bank has won several “Bank of the Year” awards from organizers such as the Banker Magazine (subsidiary of the Business Financial Times) and Global Finance.
