Mr. Fred Drah is one of the 83 persons who have fully recovered after contracting the deadly virus The Cocoa Processing company (CPC), has donated a variety of immune booster products to Mr Frederick Drah, a trader at the Tema port, who through his daily trek to and from the port caught the deadly coronavirus.

Mr Drah, 53 years, consequently spent 22 days at the Ga East Municipal Hospital where he was treated and discharged. He is one of the 83 persons who have fully recovered after contracting the deadly virus.

The CPC team, dressed and covered with protective clothing and led by the Managing Director, Nana Agyenim Boateng I; Head of Public Relations, Ekow Rhule, and CSR, Sales and Marketing Manager, Nana Agyemang Ansong and others, donated items to help Drah and his family go through these difficult times.

The items include Veronica buckets, hand sanitisers, variety of chocolate drinks and a sum of money.

Speaking at the event, Nana Agyenim Boateng, said Covid-19 is wreaking havoc and killing defenseless persons across the globe, and it is important for everyone to eat and drink food that will build the human immune system to help repel the attack of the dangerous virus.

He explained “everyone needs a strong immune system working at optimum level to be able to resist attacks by gems including viruses. Ghana’s cocoa already has what it takes to boost the immune system and help the body fight the virus,” he said.

Currently, one of the treatments under consideration in Covid-19, is the use of inhaled Nitric oxide-Mescape. Polyphenol-rich cocoa induces release of Nitric oxide (NO)- a key endothelium-derived relaxing factor (EDRF).

Nana Agyenim Boateng, who is also chief of Amoamang in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District continued: “in joining the fight initiated by government, to reduce the spread of the dangerous coronavirus, it is important that Mr Drah received immune boosters from CPC in these trying moments to help build a strong immune system.”

Nana Agyenim Boateng encouraged all Ghanaians to consume more of the Royale Natural Cocoa powder and other CPC cocoa products to keep safe and protected from coronavirus attacks and other infections.

Mr Fred Drah, receiving the items, thanked the CPC for coming to his aid as well as his family. He advised all Ghanaians to take the threat of the coronavirus serious and stay home for their own safety.
