Ecobank said it has combined its account solutions to commercial banking customers to provide a single complete package at the point of account opening that will make account relationships easier for customers and intending customers.

In a statement on Friday, the bank said the package called ‘The Business Account’, would offer a combination of a business account, free digital channels for payments and collections, free personalised e-commerce web page, debit card (where required), free capacity building sessions and free financial advisory.

The package also offered all the relevant loan types to address the borrowing needs of the businesses, it stated.

Ecobank stated that while launching the product in Lagos, the Executive Director, Commercial Banking, Ecobank Nigeria, Carol Oyedeji, described the new package as an innovative response to the needs of the market as it demonstrated the bank’s willingness to assist both new and established businesses.

She listed some of the benefits of the business account package to include access to EcobankPay- NQR code based payment method for seamless sales collections and OmniLite- the web-based payment platform for small businesses.

“In this era of e-commerce, we have partnered Google to help take our customers’ businesses online with Google MyBusiness through which they can host their products online for wider reach and improved profitability,” she said.

Oyedeji added, “Ecobank Business Account helps you navigate the business terrain more effectively. It is aimed at providing an easy way for business owners to manage their businesses with ease and access viable opportunities.”

Also speaking, the Country Head of SME (Small And Medium Enterprises), Emeka Agada, said the bundling of Ecobank’s business solutions into one package was a very innovative way to help commercial banking customers access all the applicable solutions from one touch point.
