Ghana Mission Clinic in Dzodze receives 50 hospital beds from GOIL

GOIL Company Limited (GOIL) has donated 50 hospital beds to Ghana Mission Clinic in Dzodze to improve healthcare services.

This comes after a request was made for beds and other equipment needed by the clinic.

A spokesperson for GOIL, Robert Kyere, said the company has over the years donated over 4,000 new hospital beds to several public facilities.

According to him, this forms part of the company’s social responsibility and desire to improve healthcare.

“It has been part of our social responsibility to ensure that health facilities are provided with adequate resources and equipment to improve health care effectively,” he said.

He assured the residents of GOIL’s unflinching support towards improving health care in the Ketu North District and the country as a whole.

Mr Robert Kyere, therefore, urged residents to continue supporting GOIL services to enable the company to give more to society.

The 50 beds cost GOIL Ghana Limited an amount of ¢24,000.

On his part, the administrator of the Ghana Mission Clinic, Mark Thompson Gbeti, thanked GOIL for the generosity.

“It is so sad to see patients being attended to on seats, on benches, but today all the inconveniences will be a thing of the past, thanks to Ghana Oil Company (GOIL).”

However, Mr Thompson Gbeti called on organisations to assist with providing a neonatal intensive care unit, a new administration block, OPD and emergency wards.“Having all these in place will help promote and enhance our service delivery, especially as per our location; we are close to some remote communities and villages around the district who always come for health care,” he added. The clinic, established in 2016, operates under the auspices of the Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG) and is also covered by the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
