Click to enlarge. The 2019 Late Governor Famara Jatta memorial inter-bank football tournament has reached semifinal stage after the completion of the quarterfinal matches at the Q-City football field in Bijilo.
GTBank, FiBank, Trust Bank and Access Bank have all secured their places in the semi final after winning their quarterfinal games. GTBank thumped Mega Bank 2-0 in the quarterfinal to advance to the last four while Standard Chartered Bank defeated FiBank 6-4 on penalties to progress to the last four.
Trust Bank sailed to the semi final after beating Ecobank 1-0 in the quarterfinal while Access Bank booked their place in the semifinal after edging past Central Bank in the quarterfinal.
Trust Bank team manager Kebba Fatty commended his team’s qualification to the semifinal, noting that they started preparations very early. He expressed optimism that his team will lift title.
