TEAM ADVOTECH wins maiden Edition of Di-Hack 2021

TEAM ADVOTECH receiving their prize TEAM ADVOTECH, a disability tech group has been adjudged the overall winner for the maiden edition of Inclusive Tech Group’s Disability Inclusive Hackathon (DI-HACK).

In a tough and interesting display of disability tech driving solutions by various teams which consist of seven tech groups with disability inclusion, ADVOTECH stood tall with their technological innovative web App prototype as a yardstick to help solve the communication barrier for the hearing impaired beat off tight competition from other teams emerging as the overall winner.

TEAM ORACLE and TECHNONYX came second and third respectively. The other remaining teams include FIREFLY TECH, SUPERNOVA, ADVOTECH, LUX, SMS.

Developing a web software that will convert text to voice and voice to text to help the hearing impaired communicate effectively, TEAM ADVOTECH was presented with a cash prize of GHC5,000, a plaque and mentorship packages.

Inclusive Tech Group Successfully Hosts Maiden Edition of DI-HACK 2021′

The first-ever competition in Ghana in disability technologies has been held in Accra. The event dubbed DI-HACK (Disability Inclusive Hackathon) was organized by Inclusive Tech Group, a Not-for-Profit organization.
The organization whose aim is to provide technology solutions and build the capacity of persons with disabilities (PWDs) to integrate them into the digital world hosted the three-day hackathon to innovate technology solutions to empower PWDs.
DI-HACK 2021 took place 1st – 3rd December at the Accra Digital Centre with a host of PWDs from all walks of life merging with the abled to display/pitch their ideas on tech disability solutions to a panel of distinguished judges. Consisting of seven tech groups with disability inclusion, the three-day hackathon saw a total display of tech driving solutions by each team as they battled for supremacy
