KEY POINTS

The Top Employers Institute program has certified and recognized more than 1 600 Top Employers in 120 territories across five continents. British American Tobacco Kenya (BAT) has been recognized as the country’s top employer at the annual Top Employers Certification Award, in recognition of its exceptional employee practices for the fourth successive year as compared to others.

Being certified as a Top Employer showcases an organization’s dedication to a better world of work and exhibits this through excellent HR policies and people practices. At a time companies have been laying off, BATA is said to have been creating more jobs.

“To receive the Top Employer certification in both Kenya and Africa for the fourth successive year and being ranked No. 2 in Kenya for 2021, is an honor for us,” BAT Kenya Managing Director Crispin Achola said.

Achola added that the certification demonstrates that BAT Kenya continues to deliver workplace conditions of the highest standard that enables people to grow within the organization and development of future leaders.

“As a result, we continue to recruit and retain the best and brightest talent to deliver our evolved strategy and purpose to build A Better Tomorrow for our stakeholders.”

The Top Employers Institute program has certified and recognized more than 1 600 Top Employers in 120 territories across five continents.

The Top Employers Institute program certifies organizations based on the results of its HR Best Practices Audit carried out on each organization after the completion of a highly intense survey.

The survey covers topics such as people strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning, well-being, diversity, change management, performance management, culture, and more.

“Despite the challenging year we have experienced, BAT Kenya has continued to demonstrate the power of putting their people first in the workplace,” said Top Employers Institute CEO David Plink.

“We are proud to share this year’s announcement and congratulate the organizations who have been certified in their respective countries through the Top Employers Institute program.” READ : BAT Kenya Wins The 2020 CIO100 Green Edge Award For Sustainability Initiatives More Articles From This Author
