Capital FM Kenya has entered into a partnership with Diageo-owned East African Breweries Limited and Marketing Society of Kenya (MSK) to launch a marketing-driven podcast/ CFM NAIROBI, Kenya, Sept 29 – Capital FM Kenya has entered into a partnership with Diageo-owned East African Breweries Limited (EABL) and Marketing Society of Kenya (MSK) to launch marketing-driven podcasts aimed at providing information, education, and entertainment to more than 1.2 million viewers globally.
The program will be sponsored by EABL while MSK and Capital FM will curate content from marketing leaders and captains of the industry which will be provided for free.
MSK will specifically host a two-day 2021 marketers conference from October 28 where the content will be first shared before finally being uploaded on all podcast forums.
Season one of the podcast which will consist of thirteen episodes will focus on providing insights on marketing in a digital world and educating listeners on the role of leadership and digital transformation in marketing.
Capital FM commercial director Farida Idris, who spoke during the announcement of the initiative, urged young innovators to participate in the forum and learn more from key speakers endowed with enormous experience in marketing.
She said the podcasts will provide discussions on various topics including trends and models firms should adopt to stay relevant amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The forum will feature all marketing executives who will provide insights on key marketing topics and suggest models that firm should adopt,” she added.
Some of the senior marketers who will grace the marketers’ conference include Angela Mwirigi, director of digital financial services at Kenya Commercial Bank, Anne Joy Mithira, head of marketing at Diageo, Martin Oduor, founder of The Leadership Group, Caroline Kendi, head of marketing and brand at Safaricom among other marketing professionals.
Waithera Kabiru, head of media futures at EABL urged Kenyans to take advantage of the free content which she said has a huge potential to drive growth in respective fields.
“Podcasts are very timely and are very easy to consume, the initiative will enable more people to get informed and improve their knowledge,” Edward Oswe added.
