IPSL Makes 4 New Appointments To Its Board Of Directors

Integrated Payments Service Limited (IPSL), the company behind Pesalink, has appointed four new non-executive directors to join its board.

The new appointees, Jack Ngare, Dr. Shiko Gitau, Kevin Kinyanjui, and Moses Obonyo, bring a wealth of experience in technology, IT strategy, and Law to the board of Pesalink.

Ngare is currently the managing director of Microsoft’s Africa Development Center and has over 15 years of experience in business, having worked in telecommunication, financial services, information security, and emerging technology industries. Previously, he held leadership positions at Equity’s Finserve, NIC, and Stanbic banks. He holds two Masters degrees from Harvard; one in Advanced Computer Science and the other in Management.

Dr. Shikoh Gitau, a member of the COVID-19 Advisory and the Data Analytics Modelling committee which advises the Kenyan government on tech and data-based solutions, is the CEO of Qhala, leading a team of innovators to drive digital transformation in organizations in the continent. She brings over ten years of experience in research and design of digital technologies.

Shikoh previously served as the Head of Product at Safaricom Alpha and as a Mobile Money Specialist at the AfDB and also worked at Google and Microsoft. She holds a Masters and Doctorate degrees in computer science from the University of Cape Town.

Kevin Kinyanjui brings over 34 years of experience in information technology to Pesalink, having previously held director positions at Kenya Airways and Housing Finance. He is the founder and CEO of Duo Tech, and a Co-founder and Director of WTec.

Obonyo is the current chairman of Old Mutual Assurance Company and a senior partner at Buyuka Obonyo. Apart from his experience in law, he is well versed in matters finance. He is a non-executive director at Ghana Reinsurance Kenya Limited, Institute of Directors, and Metropol TV. He holds a master’s in Law from Strathmore and an executive MBA from USIU and Columbia University.
