Nairobi Securities Exchange Rebounds To Top Trading On Thursday

The Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) was the top gainer of the day on Thursday after being in the red for some days with 8.11 percent at the price of 8.00 shillings per share.

Trans-Century and Carbacid Investments gained 6.67 and 6.10 percent at the price of 1.60 and 8.70 shillings per share respectively followed by Equity Group and Liberty Kenya with 5.64 and 4.27 percent at the price of 34.65 and 7.82 shillings per share.

The East African Cables was the top loser of the day with 9.74 percent at the price of 1.39 shillings per share followed by Crown Paints Kenya with a loss of 8.43 percent at the price of 38.00 shillings per share.

Express Kenya and Stanbic Holdings lost 7.93 and 6.79 percent at the price of 3.60 and 75.50 shillings per share respectively while Eveready East Africa lost 5.71 percent at the price of 0.99 shillings per share.

KCB Group emerged as the top mover of the day with 18.15 million shares overtaking Safaricom that had dominated the week, this time with 5.52 million shares. Nairobi Securities Exchange moved 3.37 million shares.

Kenya Power and Lighting Company and Equity Group moved 2.00 and 1.81 million shares respectively. More Articles From This Author
