All through today’s trading session, the all share index fluctuated as usual, as investors bought and sold off shares but the final close was at 0.44%, which is a reversal to Monday’s bearish trend from Tuesday’s bulling run.
The shares of energy producer, Total, edged 1.05% higher for the third time this week, to close at N192 from N190 yesterday and N181 on Monday.
PZ Cussons makes its first entrance to the top gainers table this week, selling at N15 per share, followed by Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) and Dangote Sugar.
Flourmills of Nigeria PLC had been on the gainers table for the past two days, but investors did not take much interest in their shares today, and Flourmills recorded losses.
Lafarge Africa PLC (Wapco) also had a drop in share prices, all well as Dangote Cement PLC and Unilever Nigeria PLC.
Here are the companies recorded the most trades today: NEM insurance PLC, United Bank for Africa, which is making the top traders list for the second time this week, Transnational Corporation and ETI, which did not just trade the most stock, but also made the most profit.
A total of 345,057 million shares worth N2.674 billion were traded in a total of 3,261 deals.
