Eaagads Ltd Tops Losers at the NSE, Records 10% Decline in Share Price

Eaagads Ltd, took the top spot in the losers’ category after shedding 10 percentage points in its share price at the NSE on Monday, 24 th February 2020.

The company, which is engaged in growing, blending and selling of coffee products both locally and in the International market closed the day trading at 9,90 shillings on Monday from 11.00 shillings recorded on Friday.

Eaagads Ltd sold 100 shares on Monday and recorded a turnover of 990 shillings.

Unga Group Ltd followed Eaagads Ltd in the losers’ category after shedding 8.42 percentage points in its share price, from 33.85 shillings on Friday to 31.00 shillings on Monday.

Unga Group Ltd sold 2,100 shares on Monday and recorded a turnover of 65,100 shillings.

Other stocks that made it onto the losers’ category on Monday were HF Group, Eveready East Africa and Home Afrika which recorded declines of 8.11, 4.85 and 4.44 percent respectively in their share prices.

Top Gainers

The top gainers on Monday were Flame Tree Group, Olympia Capital, WPP ScanGroup, Bamburi Cement and Kenya Airways.

Flame Tree Group took the top spot in the gainers’ category after recording an 8.90 percent increase in its share price. It sold 800 shares and recorded a turnover of 1,270 shillings.

Olympia Capital, WPP ScanGroup, Bamburi Cement and Kenya Airways gained 7.50, 3.03,2.40 and 2.24 percentage points in their share prices respectively.

Top Movers In the top movers’ category, Safaricom maintained its dominance with a turnover of 147.26 million shillings, after having sold 4.93 million shares at the price of 29.90 shillings.KCB Group, Kenya Electricity Generating Company, KPLC and Co-operative Bank followed Safaricom and recorded volumes of 1.64 million, 1.26 million, 432,600 and 312,200 shares respectively.Here is a summary of how the top losers, gainers, and movers performed at the NSE on Monday: Source: myStocks!
