Kenya Airways Cargo releases list of scheduled charters for a week

Kenya Airways Cargo has operating flights to destinations such as London, Johannesburg, Amsterdam, New York, Geneva, Dubai, Paris, Sharjah, and Guangzhou. By Our Correspondent

June 11, 2020: Since the lockdown in March, Kenya Airways (KQ) Cargo has been actively engaged in operating repatriation flights and carrying cargoes to destinations such as London, Johannesburg, Amsterdam, New York, Geneva, Dubai, Paris, Sharjah, and Guangzhou.

KQ Cargo through its LinkedIn page has announced its cargo schedule to be operated from June 8 – 14 using its B787, B73W, and B73F. On June 11, it will fly from Moi International Airport (Mombasa) – Julius Nyerere International Airport (Dar es Salaam) – Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (Zanzibar) – Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (Nairobi); another flight will start from Nairobi to Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (Mauritius). On the same day, it will operate from Nairobi to Heathrow Airport (London), Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Kotoka International Airport (Accra), O. R. Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg), and Ahmedabad Airport (India).

On June 12, it will start from Nairobi to Bangui M’Poko International Airport, Johannesburg, and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. The next day it will fly from Nairobi – Kamuzu International Airport (Malawi) – Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (Lusaka) – Nairobi. Another flight from Nairobi to Johannesburg will also take off.

Flight on June 14 will operate from Nairobi to Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Amsterdam, and Sharjah Airport.

While initially intending to relaunch passenger flights from June 8 , KQ has now advertised two repatriation charter flights, one leaving Nairobi on June 18 to London and another one to Johannesburg and back on June 19.

Kenya Airways has recorded a 12.4 percent increase in revenue for the year ended December 31, 2019 , from Kshs 114,185 million in 2018 to Kshs. 128,317 million. The positive performance has been attributed to the expansion of the network, improved passenger, cargo, ancillaries, and other revenue streams.
