Kenya Power Kicks Of February As Top Gainer Of The Day

KEY POINTS

The top mover of the day was Safaricom Plc after selling 10.61 million shares followed by Co-operative Bank who sold 2.77 million shares. Equity Group, KCB Group, and KenGen sold 1.36 and 1.21 million. Kenya Power and Lighting Company emerged as the top gainer of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) on February 1, 2021, with 7.33 percent at the price of 1.60 shillings per share.

The second top gainer of the day was Umeme with 4.50 percent at the price of 6.96 shillings per share. Uchumi Supermarket and Equity Group gained 3.57 and 1.92 percent at the price of 0.29 and 37.20 shillings per share respectively.

The East African Breweries (EABL) gained 1.67 percent at the price of 152.25 shillings per share.

The top loser of the day was Olympia Capital who shed off 8.33 percent at the price of 2.20 shillings per share followed by Diamond Trust Bank with a loss of 7.89 percent at the price of 70.00 shillings per share.

Sasini, Trans-Century, and HF Group lost 4.76, 3.60, and 3.11 percent at the price of 17, 1.34, and 3.74 shillings per share respectively.
