Top gainers of the day; Unga Group, Total Kenya, Crown Paints Kenya, Uchumi Supermarkets, and Umeme. Top losers were Trans-Century, Standard Group, Longhorn Publishers, Centum, and Carbacid. As the month of January snails to an end, Unga Group kicked off this week as the top gainer of the day with 8.29 percent at the price of 32.00 shillings per share followed by Total Kenya with 6.38 shillings at the price of 25.00 shillings per share.
Crown Paints Kenya and Uchumu Supermarkets gained 5.26 and 3.70 percent at the price of 40.00 and 0.28 shillings per share respectively. Umeme closed the top gainers’ table with 3.64 percent at the price of 740 shillings per share.
The top loser of the day was Trans-Century after shedding off 6.94 percent at the price of 1.34 shillings per share followed by Standard Group who lost 6.67 percent at the price of 21.00 shillings per share.
Longhorn Publishers and Centum Investments Company lost 6.25 and 3.98 percent at the price of 4.35 and 15.70 shillings per share respectively. Carbacid Investments closed the top losers’ table with a loss of 3.78 percent at the price of 11.45 shillings per share.
Safaricom has once again kicked off the week as the top mover of the day after selling 10.10 million shares with a market capitalization of 1.46 trillion shillings followed by Equity Group with 1.64 million shares and a market capitalization of 139.06 billion shillings.
KCB Group sold 1.39 million shares with a market capitalization of 115.52 billion shillings while Kenya Re-Insurance and Bamburi Cement sold 826,800 and 447,000 shares respectively with a market capitalization of 6.97 and 16.82 billion shillings respectively. More Articles From This Author
