US energy expert counsels public to invest in power stability

Founder and President of Energy Control Systems, Jeff Edwards who was on a visit to the country last week, said that power fluctuations increase pressure on investors whose expensive equipment may be destroyed.

“It is very important to have stable electricity supply that will minimize operational costs in industries. We as a company has already brought in Sine Tamer electrical protection system that will help Tanzanian industries to have reliable electricity,” Edwards said.

He said as Tanzania strives to become a semi- industrialized economy by 2025, needs to reliable power supply that will not cause damage to equipment for small, medium and large industries.

“The country needs sufficient power voltage that is clean and free from transient and unnecessary upsurge at all levels,” he noted adding that Energy Control System has the necessary expertise to solve the challenge.

Edwards further noted that his company will work in partnership with Sine Tamer East Africa Company to improve efficiency of electricity usage within the facility thus increasing the overall profitability of clients and provide power quality solutions which lower overhead costs.

“We have already brought in new Sine Tamer electrical protection solutions in Tanzania that provide proper electrical environment for small, medium and large industries to control electrical transient and upsurge electricity,” he stated.

The company has already installed SineTamer protection equipment at Chief Government Chemist , Ministry of Lands, Housing and Human Settlements Development and Muhumbili National Hospital.

The power control equipment has also been deployed at CRDB Bank Plc, NMB Bank Plc, Equity Bank Tanzania , Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB), Tanzania Cigarette Company Limited (TCC), Tanzania Breweries Limited and Mloganzila Hospital.

“I’m very happy to have a presence in Tanzania to supply quality branded equipment from the US,” he noted while promising customers of reliable services once the equipment is purchased.

The company was founded and incorporated in 1987, as Energy Control System International Inc in Texas and trades globally under the SineTamer brand name.

The company’s Marketing Officer, Simon Odera said Energy Control Systems is Dar es Salaam and has a factory which is ISO-9001:2008 certified with zero non conformities.“With the installation of Sine Tamer systems, there is reduction of costs in electronic maintenance by 80 percent which enables companies to be more profitable,” Odera said.
