Charlotte Osei The Headmistress of Archbishop Porter Girls Secondary School, Takoradi, Mrs Charlotte Osei, has been appointed the Chairperson of the Season 7 edition of the Vim National Schools’ Sanitation Inspection Tour by One-on-One Foundation in collaboration with Unilever Ghana Limited, producers of Vim All purpose Cleaner, Rexona and Key Brillant Soap at a grand and colourful ceremony.
This was in recognition of her total and unalloyed support and contributions towards the National Sanitation programme over the years.
In her acceptance speech after receiving the handing over notes from Madam Phyllis Simpson, headmistress of Mfantsiman Girls Senior High School and outgoing Chairperson of the Season 6 edition, Mrs Osei intimated that the Vim National Schools’ Sanitation programme is an excellent and a necessary one for all Senior High Schools, particularly in the wake of the current COVID-19 Pandemic and also thank Unilever Ghana Ltd for supporting with their Vim All purpose Cleaner which was used to Scrub all Spirogyra off, Rexona to shy away body odour and Key Brillant Soap to wash their clothes, bedsheets and Nose Masks. She appealed to all Heads of Senior High Schools to embrace the programme wholeheartedly in their schools since the benefits are enormous.
The Vim National Schools’ Sanitation Inspection Tour is an educative activity-laden healthy living programme for Senior High Schools aimed at enhancing personal hygiene and environmental sanitation. It is organized by One-on-One Foundation with sponsorship from Unilever Ghana Ltd and supports from The Ghana Education Service, The Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources and The Ghana Health Service. The activities include Health Talks, Vim Scrubbing exercises, Personal Hygiene with Rexona, Key Brillant Washing Drive, Cleaning, Debates, Quizes and Award of prizes.
