“Ghana Police Have Enough Water To Disperse Demonstrators But Ghana Fire Service Struggles To Get Water To Quench Fire”-SDK Laments

Ghanaian content creator, SDK has reacted to yesterday’s fire outbreak at the Makola Market that led to the destruction of thousands of properties.

Yesterday, it was reported that there was a fire outbreak at the Makola Market just opposite the shopping mall near the Ghana Commercial Bank.

Per our findings, the fire was said to have engulfed the top floor of a building as occupants quickly vacate the entire building to prevent casualties.

According to an eyewitness, one of the shop owners on the building tried using her generator because there was light out in the area. Unfortunately, the generator exploded leading to the wildfire that engulfed the properties in the building.

Another also expressed his displeasure with the firefighters who were present at the scene. According to him, when the fire started, they run to the firefighters to report the incident but they were unable to attend to the matter, leading to the fire spreading to other shops in the building.

In reaction to that, SDK lamented how the Ghana Police Service will be having enough water at their disposal to disperse demonstrators but the Ghana National Fire Service struggles to get water to quench fire during emergencies.

He wrote; How is it that Ghana police services got much water to disperse demonstrators but Ghana fire services struggle to get water to quench fire.
