Republic Bank to construct ultra-modern school block for Berase

Republic Bank (Ghana) Limited, a subsidiary of Republic Financial Holdings Limited, held a ground-breaking ceremony at Berase, in the KEEA District of Cape Coast, Central Region.

The ceremony was to kick start the construction of an ultra-modern School Block, including Teachers’ Common Room, Headmaster’s Office and Washrooms for the local School.

Republic Bank took on the project following a report by visiting staff of the dire need to reconstruct the local school which had fallen into a dilapidated state and posed a huge risk to pupils and teachers. Speaking at the ceremony, the Managing Director of Republic Bank (Ghana) Limited, Mr Farid Antar, said that as responsible citizens, the staff of Republic Bank could not sit idly and do nothing about the situation.

“We are not happy knowing that the future leaders of this nation are being taught under dangerous circumstances. We have the power to make a difference and so we are here to make a difference,” Mr. Antar said.

According to the Managing Director, Republic Bank believes in its Power to Make a Difference. “As we grow our business, so our reach to the community grows. We are determined to leave this world in a better state than we found it,” he added.

He also mentioned that the Bank’s Power to Make a Difference campaign for the next five years would be centered on Child Empowerment whereby the Bank would offer help and assistance to children.
