Safaricom is still the top mover of the day after selling 14.32 million shares followed by Equity Group with 5.83 million shares. Kenya Power and Kenya Re-Insurance sold 755,500 and 432,800 shares respectively. The top gainer of the day (Wednesday, January 27, 2020) was Centum Investments Limited with 5.92 percent at the price of 17.00 shillings per share followed by TPS Eastern Africa (Serena) with 5.05 percent at the price of 15.60 shillings per share.
Nairobi Business Ventures and Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KENGEN) gained 2.72 and 1.65 percent respectively at the price of 5.25 and 4.93 shillings per share respectively. HF Group gained 1.63 percent at the price of 3.75 shillings per share.
Home Afrika was the top loser of the day after shedding off 7.32 percent at the price of 0.38 shillings per share followed by Total Kenya with a loss of 5.86 percent at the price of 24.10 shillings per share.
Umeme and Absa Bank Kenya lost 3.78 and 2.57 percent at the price of 7.12 and 9.10 shillings per share respectively. The East African Cables lost 2.24 percent at the price of 1.31 shillings per share.
