Kenyans stranded in the United Kingdom amid the Covid-19 pandemic have been offered another chance to return home.
This comes days after a Kenya Airways (KQ) flight that was set to ferry back Kenyans from the UK on Saturday, April 25th was canceled at the last minute.
Kenya’s Ambassador to the UK Manoah Esipisu in a communique on Monday said the canceled flight has been rescheduled and will depart London’s Heathrow Airport on Monday, May 4th.
“Kenya Airways has loaded on its booking system the flight, which is available for sale on a first come first served basis with tickets selling at GBP 725 for Business class and at GBP 405 for Economy class per seat,” said Esipisu.
Kenyans wishing to travel on this flight have been asked to book directly at https://www.kenya-airways.com/en-uk/charter-flights or via the Kenya Airways UK office on telephone 0208 283 1818.
“Passengers must complete a Coronavirus Quarantine Declaration Form. The Test Certificate and Quarantine Declaration Form should be sent to ukmedical@kenya-airways.com by 2nd May 2020,” added Esipisu.
“Passengers may undertake COVID-19 tests from any accredited laboratory and certification issued at least seven days before travel. Kenya High Commission in London, Kenya Airways, or your local General Practitioner (GP) may advise on options for test labs.”
Upon arrival in Nairobi, all passengers will be placed under mandatory quarantine for a period of between 14 and 28 days at their own cost.
