Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) was the top mover of the day with 10.43 million shares with a market capitalization of 3.34 billion shillings. Safaricom came in second with 2.10 million shares and a capitalization of 1.66 trillion shillings.
Nairobi Business Ventures, WPP ScanGroup, and NCBA Group ended the day by moving 244,200, 204,800, and 182,200 in volumes respectively with a capitalization of 3.22, 2.39, and 43.99 billion shillings.
Eveready East Africa was the top loser of the day. The company lost 4.59 percent at the price of 1.04 shillings per share. Carbacid Investments lost 4.58 percent at the price of 11.45 shillings per share. TPS Eastern Africa (Serena), HF Group, and NCBA Group lost 2.85, 2.76, and 2.55 percent at the price of 15.35, 3.87, and 26.70 shillings per share respectively.
The top gainer of the day was Car and General (K) with 9.68 percent at the price of 34.00 shillings per share followed by Sameer Africa with 5.42 percent at the price of 3.50 shillings per share.
Home Africa, Uchumi Supermarket, and CIC Insurance Group gained 5.26, 4.35, and 3.90 percent at the price of 0.40, 0.24, and 2.93 shillings per share respectively. More Articles From This Author
