The Nairobi-based firm Tuesday announced the appointment of Richard Owen, creator of Net Promoter Score (NPS). The company recently raised $3.5 million (Sh350 million) in equity from a group of venture capital firms to fund its African expansion programme.
mSurvey chief executive Kenfield Griffith said Mr Owen will provide strategic direction and transformational insights into how the firm can ensure all consumer businesses in Africa are powered by mSurvey to drive the economies within.
“To have the co-creator of NPS join our board is a special day towards the vision of mSurvey as the leading consumer feedback platform on the continent. We’ve been fortunate to have him as an advisor for some time and he has been instrumental in helping us refine our way of thinking around NPS and its evolution in Africa,” said Mr Griffith. Launched in 2012, mSurvey is a venture capital backed by TLcom Capital, Social Capital, Kapor Capital, Golden Palm, Cross Culture Ventures, Alpha Angels and Safaricom’s Spark Venture Fund.
It has regional offices in Lagos, Nigeria and San Francisco, USA.
