This is despite President Kenyatta’s directive to financial institutions to exclude Kenyans listed on CRB.
NCBA general managing director John Gachora said the institution will not be affected by the President’s announcement on Mashujaa Day.
Gachora spoke during the opening of NCBA Embu branch on Monday.
"We always consider financial security and thus credibility and transparency comes first," he said.
Gachora said the institution looks forward to assisting more Kenyans in realising their financial growth.
He said the Embu branch is the biggest among nine set up since Covid-19 outbreak.
The MD said since the merger of NIC and CBA banks two years ago, the institution has made remarkable steps. It is ranked as the third best bank in Kenya.
"How we offer our services is what has been our navigating vessel and we are aiming at achieving great milestones here at Embu," Gachora said. Image: BENJAMIN NYAGAH The MD said the institution has been working hand in hand with Safaricom PLC for the past years and in offering Fuliza and M-Shwari services.
He also said the institution won’t consider revising the services interest rates.
Gachora said many businesses in the country have opted to go for M-Shwari loans instead of going straight to the banks."This year alone, we have given out loans worth Sh342 billion through M-Shwari and Fuliza services," he said.The MD said although many Kenyans consider NCBA bank as an institution for the rich, this is only a characteristic the bank posses owing to her commitment in financial security.(Edited by Bilha Makokha)
