The Community Foundation of New Jersey (CFNJ) today announced that Tamara Linde, executive vice president and general counsel for Public Service Enterprise Group Incorporated (PSEG) and its subsidiaries, has been selected as the new Chair of its Board of Trustees.
Ms. Linde succeeds Dennis Wilson, president and CEO of Delta Dental, who served as Board Chair since 2018.
As PSEG’s chief legal officer, Ms. Linde has responsibility for all legal and regulatory functions of the Company, as well as compliance and claims. Ms. Linde is a member of PSEG’s Executive Officer Group and has worked at PSEG for more than 30 years.
“Philanthropy in our communities has never been more critical, and Tammy and our Board know it will take a focused, results-driven lens to ensure our fundholders’ dollars are delivering the greatest possible impact in these challenging times,” said Hans Dekker, president of the Community Foundation. “Tammy has the ideal experience and knowledge to not only continue our Board’s strong leadership, but also help the Foundation serve as a catalyst for stronger, more resilient communities.”
Ms. Linde also serves on the Board of the PSEG Foundation and she is a member of the General Counsel Steering Committee of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and the Council for the American Arbitration Association (AAA). She is past President of the Northeast Chapter of the Energy Bar Association and served as chair of the Energy Bar Association Electricity Regulation and Compliance Committee.
“The leadership and philanthropic acumen the Community Foundation of New Jersey has built over 40 years came into clear focus last year as it corralled record sums of giving in ways that delivered immediate, critical relief,” Ms. Linde said. “I look forward to working with the Community Foundation’s staff of philanthropic professionals and hundreds of engaged fundholders to deliver even more support to worthy causes and communities in 2021 and beyond.”
