More connections for customers as Air Seychelles and Air Madagascar sign codeshare agreement

Barely two months after the first Air Seychelles aircraft landed in the capital city of Madagascar, Antananarivo , the national airline of the Seychelles has entered into a codesharing agreement with its Madagascan counterpart, Air Madagascar.

According to a press statement issued by Air Seychelles today, the two airlines signed the agreement Wednesday evening at the Air Seychelles VIP Lounge in the Seychelles International Airport, located on the Seychelles main island of Mahé.

The deal will enable Air Seychelles to carry Air Madagascar ’s MD airline designator and flight code on Air Seychelles ’ twice-weekly flights between Antananarivo and Mahé, and subject to government approvals, on flights between the Seychelles capital and Abu Dhabi and Mumbai.

Flights between Seychelles and its neighbouring Indian Ocean island state of Madagascar re-commenced on 3 December 2014 after a hiatus of 33 years.
