Nana Ama Ayensua Saara III, the Denkyira Hemaa, has donated various Personal Protective Equipment to some health facilities in the Denkyira State made up of Upper and Lower Denkyira.
The donated items, which comprised valpas overall dresses, wellington boots and googles, formed part of various efforts being made by Nana Saara III to prevent the deadly virus.
The beneficiary facilities include Dunkwa, Ayanfuri, Diaso and St Benedict hospitals. Jukwa, Watreso, Krobo, Mfuom, Frami and Bremang health centres.
Okyeame Kwabena Adu, a linguist, did the presentation on behalf of Nana Ama Ayensua Saara III, the Denkyira Hemaa at Jukwa. Briefing the media, Mr Emmanuel K Nanah, who is the legal advisor to the Denkyira Hemaa explained that concerted efforts were needed to help stem the virus.
In view of this, he said “Nana Saara solicited the items from the Ghana Commercial Bank, ‘GCB’ to be distributed to the Denkyira State.
He stated that social distancing in the wake of the ravaging virus, was one of the best means that must be observed by the citizenry. He, further, advised all to abide by the necessary protocols that have been put in place in order to avoid getting infested and spreading of the virus. Officially, the Central Region has recorded eight confirmed cases of Covid-19.
