Access Bank Ghana in partnership with Emirates Airline, have launched a product to financially assist air travellers to travel to any destination of their choice from now onwards and pay later.
Under the product dubbed "Fly Now, Pay Later," salaried customers as well as other professionals, business owners and traders who are customers of Access Bank will now enjoy flexible financing arrangement from the bank to pre-finance their Emirates travel packages from now onwards and pay back within 12 months.
Speaking at the launch in Accra yesterday, the Managing Director of Access Bank Ghana, Olumide Olatunji expressed delight about the partnership, aimed at helping Emirates travellers to do so and pay later, and commended Emirates Airlines for their readiness to partner with Access Bank for the service.
He said the service, the first of its kind, was in line with the Access Bank new brand promise of providing ‘more than banking’ to customers.
"This is the first of new collaborations to delivering unique and innovative solutions that help our customers meet their life aspirations and that is why we are excited about this partnership. Through the Fly Now, Pay Later service, the average salaried worker and many of our customers can afford to travel without having to worry about the financial burden," he said.
He said the service would bring relief to customers of Access Bank and also help Emirates to reach more than the 30 million customers of Access Bank.
Mr Olatunji said customers who signed on to the service would enjoy 10 per cent discount and other gifts.
The Country Manager of Emirates Airlines, Catherine Wesley said her outfit was continuously looking at opportunities for making the company’s products and services accessible to all Ghanaian customers.

Ms Wesley explained that the service would help customers of Access Bank to travel to Dubai and other destinations across the country.
The Head of Corporate Communications and Brand Management of Access Bank, Nana Adu Kyeremanteng said the two companies, which were global giants, shared similar heritage.He said both companies had existed for more than three decades and operated in major markets across the world.
