SAN FRANCISCO–( BUSINESS WIRE )– MarkLogic Corporation , a leader in cloud data management, today announced that Jeffrey Casale has been named Chief Executive Officer. The company also announced that David Donatelli, a senior executive with extensive leadership experience at Fortune 50 technology companies, will join its Board of Directors.

A seasoned technology and data industry executive, Mr. Casale most recently served as President of Dell Technologies Select Group, a group which leveraged the portfolio of Dell Technology assets to drive digital transformations in its largest global customers. In this role, Mr. Casale was responsible for the creation, strategy, and operations of the organization, which grew into a multi-billion dollar business. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President for VMware, leading field operations for the largest geography. He was part of the leadership team that launched multiple new lines of business which became the growth engines for the company. Mr. Casale spent his earlier career with EMC Corporation in various executive roles including a decade running operations in Europe and Latin America.
Mr. Donatelli brings significant M&A, product leadership, operational, and growth experience to MarkLogic. He was previously the Executive Vice President of the Cloud Business Group at Oracle Corporation. Earlier, Mr. Donatelli served as Executive Vice President of the Enterprise Group at Hewlett-Packard leading the $30 billion division and overseeing storage, server, networking, and converged infrastructure solutions. He began his career at EMC Corporation, serving in multiple leadership roles, most recently as President of the EMC Storage Division.
