Kenya Airways shares suspended from trading on the NSE and DSE

Trading of Kenya Airways PLC ( DSE:KA , NSE:KQ ) shares on the Main Investment Market Segment (MIMS) of the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange PLC (DSE) has been suspended effective from 6thJuly 2020 upon the request by the Company made as per Rule 57 (1) and (2) of the DSE Rules, 2016.

The request for suspension has been occasioned by the ongoing discussion between the Kenyan Government, the Company and the Kenyan Aviation Industry on a possible operations and corporate restructuring of the Company which will result into 100% buy-out from existing shareholders by the Kenyan Government.

DSE has also been notified of the suspension from trading of the Company’s shares on the Nairobi Securities Exchange following a direction of the Capital Markets Authority Kenya to so suspend.
