Top 5 Gainers, Losers And Movers At The NSE On Wednesday

The top 5 gainers of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) on Wednesday were Nairobi Business Ventures, Flame Tree Group, Nation Media Group, NCBA Group, and East African Cables.

Nairobi Business Ventures gained 10.00 percent at the price of 0.66 shillings per share followed by Flame Tree Group with 5.38 percent at the price of 1.37 shillings per share.

Nation Media Group and NCBA Group gained 4.58 and 4.55 percent respectively at the price of 12.55 and 23.00 shillings per share respectively. The East African Cables gained 4.32 percent at the price of 1.93 shillings per share.

The top losers were BK Group, I&M Holdings, Olympia Capital, Crown Paints Kenya, and WPP ScanGroup.

BK Group lost 9.09 percent at the price of 15.00 shillings per share followed by I & M Holdings with a loss of 4.34 percent at the price of 43.00 shillings per share.

Olympia Capital and Crown Paints Kenya lost 3.16 and 3.12 percent respectively at the price of 2.45 and 45.00 shillings per share respectively. WPP ScanGroup lost 2.31 percent at the price of 6.78 shillings per share.

Safaricom was the top mover of the day followed by Kenya Re-Insurance, Stanbic Holdings, Kenya Power and Lighting Company, and Equity Group.

Safaricom moved 7.52 million shares with a market capitalization of 1.16 trillion shillings followed by Kenya Re-Insurance with 7.25 million shares with a market capitalization of 6.02 billion shillings.

Stanbic Holdings moved 1.57 million shares at a market capitalization of 29.65 billion shillings while Kenya Power and Lighting Company sold 1.48 million shares with 3.71 billion shillings as market capitalization.
