Comoros seeks to rehabilitate three thermal power plants

The Union of the Comoros has received a grant from the African Development Bank Group to cover the cost of the Comoros Energy Sector Support Project (PASEC).

It is intended that part of the funds will be allocated to market-related payments for the rehabilitation of the Voidjou diesel thermal power plants, Itsambouni, Fomboni and Trenani in union of the Comoros.

The objective of the project is to restore and improve the operation of the electricity network, the production plants, the distribution network and to prepare the development of renewable energies. Comoros tender details

The Vice-Presidency in charge of the Ministry of Economy, Energy, Industry, Crafts, Tourism, Investment, Private Sector and Land Affairs, through the Project of Support to Energy Sector in the Comoros (PASEC), invites bidders to submit closed bids, for the supply of high voltage switchgear equipment, synchronisation, control, low voltage, fuel storage and fire protection and related assembly services for the execution of the rehabilitation works of the thermal power stations of the three islands of the Union of the Comoros (Itsambouni and Voidjou power plants for Grande Comores, Trenani power station for Anjouan and Central Fomboni for Moheli).
