Speaking during the launching ceremony of the new service held in Tanga at the weekend, MCB Plc Chief Executive Officer, Mr Ronald Manongi, said his bank has entered into a strategic agreement with Maxcom Africa Plc through its MaxiMalipo payment system to allow the bank’s customers get services at their convenience.
Tanga. In a bid to extend availability of its banking services, the Mwalimu Commercial Bank (MC) has launched a Mwalimu Bank Wakala agent banking, which enables the public to get services closer to their workplaces or residences.
Speaking during the launching ceremony of the new service held in Tanga at the weekend, MCB Plc Chief Executive Officer, Mr Ronald Manongi, said his bank has entered into a strategic agreement with Maxcom Africa Plc through its MaxiMalipo payment system to allow the bank’s customers get services at their convenience.
“Our bank is committed to make sure that our services are provided closer to the public wherever that they are. The objective is to make sure that wherever Tanzanians are they will able to get banking services so that together we can work towards rapid growth of our economy,” Mr Manongi said.
The MCB Plc CEO further noted that the bank has continued to work closely with its customers and the general public through MaxiMalipo’s 10,000 strong agents who are located countrywide.
Mwalimu Bank’s customers will be able to get all types of banking service including depositing and withdrawing money from their accounts, receive their salaries, check their balances, get statements, pay utility bills and buy airtime.
Mr Manongi said the bank’s staff are organised towards providing better services to customers because such services are based on customer needs and demand and carefully crafted by a team of experts to meet such needs.
