NSE All-share Index Drops By 0.32 Percent

stock exchange market complex, Lagos The All-share index at the Nigeria Stock Exchange shrank by 0.32 percent to settle at 35,311.36 basis points at the end of trading on Monday.

This is as the market capitalization dropped to N12.891tn from N12.933tn made on Friday.

Overall, the NSE depreciated by N42bn just as there were 14 stocks that had a drop in price.

There were 2,981 deals for 178.810 million stocks amounting to N2.020bn.

Also, there was a fall in the volume and value traded during the period by 66.11 percent and 55.37 percent to 178.810 million units and N2.020bn in that order.

The top performers after the end of the trading are Diamond Bank Plc, Niger Insurance Plc, Flour Mills Of Nigeria Plc, Linkage Assurance Plc and Jaiz Bank Plc.

They made gains by 10 percent, 10 percent, 9.77 percent, 9.46 percent and 8.33 percent in that order.

On the flipside, First Aluminium Nigeria Plc, Ikeja Hotel Plc, Universal Insurance Company Plc, Japaul Oil and Maritime Services Plc, and Secure Electronic Technology Plc topped the losers’ chart.

They had a decline of 10 percent, 9.68 percent, 9.09 percent, 7.69 percent, and 4.76 percent, respectively.
