NSE: Bulls return as equity market appreciates by N75bn

nigeria stock exchange Trading activities on the floor of Nigerian Stock Exchange yesterday returned to bullish trend, gainig N75 billion.
Specifically, market capitalisation of listed equities increased by 0.58 per cent to N12.966 trillion from N12.891 trillion reported on Monday.
Also, the NSE All Share Index rose by 204.85 basis points to 35516.21 points from 35311.36 points traded the previous day.
Investors traded 339.681 million shares valued N5.503 billion in 3394 deals against 178.810 million shares worth N2.020 billion in 2981 deals.
An analysis of the investment showed Total Nigeria Plc led gainers table, growing by N9.10 kobo to close at N190.00, Flour Mills Nigeria Plc followed with a gain of N1.20 kobo to close at N24.80 kobo, Guaranty Trust Bank Plc appreciated by N1.00 to close at N39.00, PZ Industries gained N0.95 kobo to close at N14.00, Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc grew by N0.50 kobo to close at N15.50 kobo.
On the contrary, Glaxosmith Kline topped losers, shedding N1.00 to close at N14.00, Ecobank Transnational Incorporates trailex with a loss of N0.70 kobo to close at N19.30 kobo, Forte Oil fell by N0 70 kobo to close at N22.30 kobo, Nigerian Breweries declined by N0.50 kobo to close at N100.00 while Custodian and Allied Insurance depreciated by N0.35 kobo to close at N5.10 kobo.
Further analysis showed that Hallmark Insurance recorded the highest activities during the day, trading 99.953 million shares worth N30.985 million, Stanbic IBTC group followed with account of 72.952 million shares valued at N3.611 billion, May and Baker sold 40.089 million shares cost N91.865 milliin, Transnational Corporation of Nigeria exchanged 16.075 million shares valued at N19.677 million while United Bank for Africa sold 13.613 million shares cost N114.975 million.
