Fourth Kenya Airways Flight to Repatriate Kenyans in the UK

A fourth Kenya Airways (KQ) flight is next week set to ferry Kenyans who wish to return home from the UK amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

The flight KQ 103 will leave London Heathrow Airport Terminal 2 on June 19th at 11 am local time and land at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) at 9.30 pm the same day, according to the Kenya High Commission to the UK.

“The Flight has now been loaded on the Kenya Airways booking system and is available for sale on first come first served basis,” the mission said in a notice.

Kenyans seeking to return home on this flight must present a certificate showing that they are coronavirus-free. The test certificate should be within 7 days of departure.

Upon arrival in Kenya, the returnees will be subjected to mandatory quarantine for a period ranging from 14 to 28 days in line with the government’s Covid-19 containment measures. This will be done at their own cost.

Passengers will pay £1089 (Sh 145,341) for an economy class ticket on this flight and £1,969 (Sh256,000) for business class.
