He oversaw the launch of new products such as Equitel, Mkey and the Jenga Payment Gateway, which are based on application programming interfaces (APIs).
The apps have opened Equity’s banking platforms to over 2000 small and medium enterprises.

Africa Development Centre was launched in Kenya in May 2019 with the aim of boosting Kenya’s opportunity of work on cutting-edge technology, creating solutions for local and global impact, while reinforcing the country’s position as a leading digital innovation hub.
Prior to the appointment, Ngare also worked at British Telecommunications global services, Stanbic and NIC banks across East Africa.
Ngare’s exit comes after the departure of Equity Managing Director Polycarp Igathe who walks back to his former employer Vivo Energy to take up the position of an Executive Vice President in charge of sales across the oil marketing company’s operations in Africa.
