AGAG Supports Research Utilization School

Agag Donation The AngloGold Ashanti, Ghana (AGAG) donated assorted products including bags of rice, cooking oils, toiletries, detergents, biscuits and drinks to the Research Utilization School for the Deaf.

The gesture forms part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and motivated by one of its operational values, which is to ensure that there is improvement in the standard of living of people in communities where AGA operates.

A statement signed by Madam Patience Quaye, Public Relations and Communications Officer and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), said Madam Genevieve Basigha, Proprietress who received the products expressed appreciation and celebrated the management of Anglo Gold Ashanti for the donation.

“On behalf of the Research Utilization School for the Deaf, I say a very big thank you for this kind gesture. Indeed, you have been of help to this Institution many times and this is not the first time you are coming to our aid.

“We are truly grateful for your continued support. I am however appealing to well-wishers to help with teaching and learning materials, toiletries, food items, as well as helping us complete our class rooms and dormitories,” she added.

The 37 children, 14 are girls, and 13 boys with most from Kumasi, and a few from Obuasi.
