Caleb varsity plans capacity development for secondary school students

The Caleb University, Imota, Lagos, has planned to educate secondary school students in its forthcoming National Intellectual Development Programme 2022.

The NIDP is strategically designed to engage 2,000 Senior Secondary two and three students from 100 secondary schools drawn from the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria through career talk and debate competition.

A statement signed by CUL, Information, Media and Publication Specialist, Olawale Adekoya, said it was being organised in partnership with Zenith Bank Plc, Stanbic IBTC Bank, Eco Bank Plc, UBA Plc, De Millers Farms, Fan Milk of Nigeria Plc, Golden Penny Foods, Rite Foods, Checkers Africa Ltd, and Imota Local Government.

The NIDP titled, ‘Stand Out’, would hold on April 28, 2022, at the Multipurpose Hall of Caleb University Imota Lagos. It read, “The 2,000 direct participants, along with the millions in the global virtual audience, who joins virtually will have the golden opportunity to explore career pathways, discover new opportunities and connect directly with student leaders, scholars, statesmen and Captains of Industry.

“Caleb University packaged the Debate and Career Expo 2022 along with its corporate sponsors, with the fundamental objective of producing dynamic students who are proficient in the five “Cs” of 21st-century innovative skills of debating, which include critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, and consciousness, driven by the Core Values of Caleb University.

“The winners of the inaugural edition of the competition will smile home with the star prize of N1m cash, while the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th placed schools will receive 250K, 200K and 150K, respectively.”
