First Lady, Didier Drogba, Patrick Fynn, others to receive 2018 HELEH Africa Awards

The 2019 nominations is opened online and can be accessed and submitted via www.mediamenghana.com Having taking a historic step by setting a distinct platform to appreciate the most outstanding healthcare & wellness trailblazers with Gold, whiles influencing significant development in the health sector in Africa, Ghana’s First Lady H.E Rebecca Akuffo Addo, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Dr Mae Carol Jemison, Dr Ola Orekunrin (Flying Doctors), Dr Ken Aboah, Didier Drogba, the Republic of Cuba, the Republic of Rwanda, Patrick Fynn and others are the next batch of notable health development Crusaders and advocates to receive the 2018 HELEH Africa Honours.

This initiative also an embodiment of variety healthcare & wellness enhancement activities and projects carefully carved to entrench the core objectives of the HELEH Africa enterprise over all its opposing elements to ensure it’s success and sustainability. Below are the main content and core pillars of the HELEH AFRICA framework.

This gargantuan vision was launched in 2016 and saw the maiden edition held in 2017, under the royal patronage of the noble king and life patron of the initiative, His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II – Asantehene amidst glitz and glamour; the deserving awardees and practitioners were decorated with premium carat gold in the golden kingdom of Ghana – Kumasi.

The event was graced by very distinguished personalities and entities including, Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng who was decorated with the highest honour, as the Legend Clinician of the year, alongside names like DCOP Dr. Ebenezer Ewusi-Emmim, Dr Mrs. Gyikua Plange-Rhule, Dr. Osei Kwame Despite, Okyeame Kwame, Vodafone, Herbalife and Holy Trinity Medical Centre/Spa.

Speaking to the media, Dr. Benedicta Ohene-Manu, Managing Director of Media Men Ghana, acknowledged the focus of this year’s honours as it takes a turn to broaden its scope to the whole of Africa.

She also noted that health practitioners and facilities including individuals and corporate organizations across Africa whose contribution promote quality wellness and healthcare delivery are eligible and are invited to apply for the categories they deem qualified for.
