Tema MCE inaugurates Lena House Clinic

An ultramodern clinic to provide health care for residents of Tema and its environs has been inaugurated at Tema Community 9, within the Lena House building in the Greater Accra Region.

The Lena House Clinic provides 24 hours services including family medicine, occupational medicine, dentistry, sonography, electrocardiogram, state-of-the-art laboratory and a pharmacy operated by trained personnel. Located within the same building with TOP-UP Pharmacy Limited, Lena Clinic is a new addition to the Lena Health Services family, all sister companies of TOP-UP Pharmacy, owned and operated by Pharm Richard Odor.

It also prides itself of being granted an operating license by the Health Facilities Regulatory Agency (HeFRA). A tape was cut to officially open the facility to the public by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Tema, Mr Felix Mensah Nii Anang-La, Mr Odor and some traditional leaders of Tema last Wednesday, January 22, 2020.

The opening of the facility is to keep to Lena’s promise of bringing healthcare to the doorsteps of the people. In his address, Mr Anang-La called on health workers to exhibit a high level of professionalism and show love and compassion to patients in the discharge of their duties.

He said the government recognised the role the private sector played in health care delivery in the country and commended the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Odor for putting up the facility to cater for the health needs of the people within the area. He indicated that the government would always create an enabling environment for the private sector to thrive.

“Today’s inauguration marks a milestone in the history of Lena Clinic since it will help absorb the teeming unemployed nurses and allied health workers in the country,” he added.

Mr Odor said the clinic would offer the highest standards of a comprehensive health care package in a prompt and reliable manner. “I see Lena House Clinic emerging as a major health care service provider in Ghana and beyond, astutely focused on meeting client satisfaction according to best practices and worldwide standards.

“I can guarantee you a quality healthcare delivery in a congenial, friendly and highly professional environment. Visit us for delightful service experience,” he assured. Mr Odor promised that “it will get to a point where we will come to you and not you coming to us for your health needs.”
